Adoption of health information technology is key to your organization’s success and financial health over the next few years. It is also the key to lowering costs and improving quality throughout the health care system. Besides, your EMR is not optional. You need to do it – yesterday!
Let’s face it, the best hardware and software in the world is useless if people aren’t trained and prepared. That’s because your healthcare organization’s employees are the key to successful implementation.
How “Ed” Was Born
In 2009, it was clear that the changes in implementing health IT across the US health system still met with many stumbling blocks dating back to the ‘90s when the first health IT laws were enacted. But this time, the government was putting a lot of clout and money behind the effort to make it happen. The same old problems existed: user resistance and issues with implementation and interoperability.
To overcome this resistance, we developed a program that helped create understanding and a sense of mission around your EMR rollout to help move things along – both at a provider level and a system-wide level.
After about a year of development, HealthSystemEd launched in 2010. But the launch ignored a basic maxim of bringing a new product to market: You need a customer FIRST. A first customer prior to development brings two things:
Knowledge of exactly what the product needs to do to help them with their particular problem
The Timing of Re-Launch
So, here we are in 2013. Health IT and health reform implementation deadlines are approaching. Meanwhile, Meaningful Use for many organizations still isn’t all that meaningful. It is obvious from the fractured nature of the EMR marketplace, there is more work to be done. So we’ve timed an update of Health System Ed to meet these ongoing problems.
Today, we have a fully developed program that can be customized and branded for your organization, and its development has already occurred. Tweaking the program is now easier and less expensive for our customers. Our investors took care of that!
